The following recipe is taken from the National Mutual Benefit 100th Anniversary Cookbook. The cookbook and recipes represent generations of family favorites and the true diversity of the National Mutual Benefit membership. New Recipes will be posted twice a month. Enjoy!
Brandy Slush
Ingredients
· 9 cups water, divided
· 2 cups sugar
· 4 green tea bags
· 1 (12 oz.) can frozen orange juice
· 1 (12 oz.) can frozen lemonade
· 2 cups brandy |

Boil 7 cups water and add sugar. Cool. Boil 2 cups water, take off heat and add green tea bags. Leave set for 20 minutes with tea bags in. After 20 minutes, boil water again for a few minutes. Lift tea bags up and down. Squeeze bags, remove from water and let cool. After both mixtures cool, combine in large kettle. Mix in orange juice, lemonade and brandy. Put in covered container and freeze. Stir a couple of times. Let freeze at least 24 hours. Put 2 scoops in a glass and fill remainder with 50/50 soda or 7-Up.
