NMB Policy Riders

Many of our products have riders available to greatly enhance the flexibility and versatility of your insurance program. Riders are additions to a policy that offer benefits not found in the original contract, or that make adjustments to it. These special provisions are, in effect, attached to the policy. Riders are not necessarily found in all policies. Because all riders provide some kind of benefit to the policyowner, an extra premium may be charged for them.

Accidental Death Benefit Rider - Provides for an additional death benefit in the event the insured's death occurs as a result of an accident.

Additional Term Insurance Riders - Provides for level term insurance coverage on the named insured.

Children's Term Insurance Rider - Provides a level term life insurance benefit for the insured's children.

Cost of Living Rider - Provides for an automatic increase in coverage without providing evidence of insurability, to help keep pace with inflation.

Guaranteed Insurability Option Rider - Guarantees the right to purchase additional insurance without providing evidence of insurability.

Living Benefit Rider - Allows early payment of all or a portion of the policy's death benefit for a terminal illness (eligibility requirements as stated in rider). There is no cost for this rider.

Waiver of Monthly Deduction and Monthly Cost of Insurance Rider - Provides payment of cost of insurance and expense charges during a period of total and permanent disability.

Waiver of Premium Benefit Rider - provides for payment of a specified monthly premium payment into the policy during an insured's period of total and permanent disability.
